Fun track!
And it really does feel like a quest. :D
Love that arpeggio part you did around 1:05. Actually reminded me on one Shovel Knight soundtrack part.
Would love to see this piece evolve even more, it's quite short.
I too think that tambourines feel sort of out of place. And they suddenly just stop.
Some more work on percussion stuffz in this one and it would be even more amazing.
Ending could use more work too though.
Nevertheless, enjoyed it, you got a follow mate. :)

PancakePocket responds:

Thank you so much! I was afraid the tambourines would be too much. I know it's short but that's because It's meant to bee a loop for a video game that is being made on Steam

Cool sound.
Love the main motif of the song!
Sounds eerie and haunting.

Things to improve:
- Bassline's the same through the whole track (even if you don't want to change it, you should try adding some kind of cool lick that would act as transition).
- Same thing's with the drums.
- At 1:30 there's a bit too much high end with those hihats and perc thingies.
- 2:38 is a nice touch, try to work on things like that more.

Anyways, you've got nice ideas man. Enjoyed it.
Keep it up!

CrystaluxX responds:

Thanks for your feedback! ;)

Nice track.
Dubstep's actually not my cup of tea, but I do appreciate a good one when I hear it (objectively).
Some of those melody arpeggios could be little bit less repetitive, adding something different that stands out, or just passes through would help (instead of just changing the 'instrument').
Anyways, nice mix and master.
And that's some good sound design you got there, arrangement's pretty dope too.
Cheers and good luck!

Falsesouth responds:

Thank you so much for this in depth review! Best of luck to you too :D

Remember hearing this one in first chips compo.
It was one of the first submissions, right?
Was my fav from the start. ;D

midimachine responds:

yes! thanks :>

Quite chilly and bitersweet track.
Could be mixed better, though and guitar is delayed in some parts.
Anyways, composition's decent overall.
Keep it up.

Apilot responds:

Thanks!

Very relaxing track.
Nice use of Composer Cloud.
Only thing thats kinda weird to me is that synth that comes in at 1:06.
I get the idea, though it could be better realized (faster attack).
Composition and sound choices are well thought of in general.
Well done. :)

Baumarius responds:

Thanks! I understand what you're saying, but the slow attack gives it a much more dreamy feel than having a faster one, which is what I was going for in that part of the song. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Your glitches turn me on.
Damn.

Amazing!
Funky stuff.
Rhythm's really great, and lead's really creative.
... and yeah, chord progression too :D.
Keep it up!

LegnaZeg responds:

hey man, thanks a lot for checking it and for the feedback! :) best!

Catchy, funky and smooth.
Nailed it. Keep it up, yo.

ConnorGrail responds:

Glad you can groove along!

That's some serious atmospheric stuff.
Love the norse/viking theme music, arrangements and instruments (sound) in general, and I can totally see this one in a game.
What software did you use for this one (VSTs) ?
Keep it up!

DigohD responds:

Hey!

Thanks for the review!

The VST I used mainly for this one was Quantum Leap Ra by Eastwest. It features a number of exotic instruments from different parts of the world.

Video games. Melodies. Groovez. Electronix.
