Nice atmospheric piece, love the stereo separation throughout the whole song.
Sounds are very well chosen, props to that. :)
Especially love that synth at 1:12!

Minor complaints:
- I feel that at some points the main need would benefit of more layers.
- Also I feel that ending part (2:20 - onwards) was kinda too random with that main melody and counter-melodies. Playing with harmony at that part could be useful.

To sum up - enjoyed it and totally see it as some epic space-ish game soundtrack.
Atmosphere's well delivered.
Keep it up!

Beautiful!
Great sense of dynamics, structuring and evolving the piece (playing overall).
Love those chords that caught me off-guard. ^_^
Ending got me woooah.
Amazing work!

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

I'm glad you like it!
I like this piece too, but I'm a bit surprised that so many people like it that much! Maybe it has something to do with the structure.
Thank you for the review!

Love that melody, so freakin' lovely.
Agree with Tainted about the brass, think there's a need of liveliness in those main melodies.
Keeps me interested all the time with all the variations while still not changing the vibe of the song.
Instruments by themselves are nicely chosen, and composition is great.
Great work overall. :)

Wow!

Love the sounds, rhythm and whooooooa!
I'm positive that it's a top-notch for a game you worked on.
Sumo-wrestling pancakes, lmao. :D

Amazing work overall, no complaints. :)

Deemo-R responds:

Wow man, thanks! Really glad you liked it, and I really appreciate the compliments! All credit goes to my teammates for the ridiculous ideas, lol.

Dat bass and atmosphere.
Love it!

Lovely build-up you got going on here.
Composition and tension is evolving really nice.
Catchy and videogame-ish.
Feel like some kind of heavily reverbed snare would be great in here. Brass also. :)
Would also recommend humanizing instruments more, but if you were going for some sort of simple and (as I said) videogame-ish vibe, don't mind this.
Keep up the good work!

FateModified responds:

Thanks endK! I wasn't particularly going for a video-gamish vibe, but I'm OK with that. You're right, I could have humanized the instruments more. I should have done some automation on the volume levels of the strings and brass, but I kind of ran out of time. This was done for a compo, and I was short on time. I didn't think about the reverbed snare for this one. I'll keep that in mind for my later compositions.

Thanks for the review, I appreciate the feedback! :D

Short but tasty af.

Love the waltzish rhythm and the instruments.
Humanization was really well done.

Minor complaints - violin dynamics are great but it sounded a bit loud at 0:32, and I would've put a moment of silence now and then, maybe pluck some notes in the melody instead of holding them all the time.

Would work well as the royal hall loop in in some game.
Actually there's a clear picture in my mind since the track's on loop for quite some time now. :)
I EVEN SEE THE CHARACTERS.

Great job overall. :)

Everratic responds:

Thanks for the review!

Your interpretation is very similar to mine. I got inspired by the very beginning of FFIX when Steiner searches for Garnet.

Love every part of this.
First the beat surprises me and it's super effective, then the vox chops and nice backgroundish sounds and then the ending itself.
Right on point.
Great work Ect. :)

EctiBot responds:

Glad you enjoyed it :)

Wow!

Structure's amazing. Builds up really nice.
Vocal melodies, percussion and that sequenced blurry synth in the background are amazing.
I can imagine the effort that went in this one. ...right? :3
Chorus has great impact + is so catchy and tribalish.

Things I didn't really like was that lead at 2:38 and that background 'ravy' synth at the final chorus. Maybe something less 'harsh' would've fit better.

To sum up, this was really enchanting experience.
Love your voice and sense for structuring the piece.
And yeah, Finnish adds that extra magic, that's for sure.

^_^

etherealwinds responds:

Ah I didn't get a notification for this, for some reason! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Funnily enough, the ravy synth was my favourite part of it :D

Thank you for reviewing <3

Freakin' love it.
Amazing, as always.
11/10.

DanJohansen responds:
