Wacky track!
Nice sounds.
Agree with Axel - dat solo part was crazay.
One complaint - I feel like there's a bit too much going in mids at some points.
Anyways, great job with this cover, really enjoyed it. :)

Short but sweet.
Nice melody!
I feel like that pumping background would even be better without sidechaining.
Drum could also use some variation.
Enjoyed it nevertheless, keep it up. :)

Short but sweet.
Drum change at 0:34 felt unnatural though.
You should defintely compress the drums overall.
Nevertheless melodies are freakin' cool, and I relly enjoyed this one. :)

Great song!
I'm a sucker for cool original melodies and it seems that you got one here.
Anyways, thought it would be louder .. ehrm .. and that the song would go wild at some point.
Transitions are good yes, but for example that loud riser and buildup around 1:00 get me really pumped up and then it kinda looses volume.
Some sound level adjusment would be a thing you could consider.
Arrangement is pretty dope, and once more, melody is really great. I did enjoy it!
Cheers!

RedCocoa responds:

Hey there, thanks for the feedback :D

Yeah, things like sound level tweaking and general mastering are still the things I have to practice a bit to get right. I am also very good at forgetting to add enough variety in my songs, so I can see that it can sound kind of stale.

Again, thanks for the criticism and kind words ^^

Enjoyed this one. :)
Such a pleasant piece.
Good job!

Schematist responds:

Much appreciated! Thank you for listening!

Charming piece.
Didn't like the drums though and transitions felt kinda weird.
Nevertheless, I dig the instruments and melodies which are really charming.
Keep it up. :)

BECAUSEMETOO responds:

OOOOH!!! OOOH!!! LET ME WRITE IT SOMEWHERE!!! My gudness you have idea how much i appreciate this kind of "specific finger pointing" at the mistakes i make. Thanks a bunch i'll go and look for tutorials on "Transitions" and "Drums" now!!!
And um ... thank you for being so kind too, i'm just really not into compliments lately, i really want to improve at this thing.

I have no idea what i am doing wrong and everyone just keeps either "not saying anything" when i do things not as i was supposed to or when i DO get something right it's just gonna be a compliment like "amazing" or "all 5 stars and i follow you". Which is ... very kind ... and ... but ... just ... uwaaaa

Fuuuuunky!
Awesome riff.
Love that tasty vibrato.
Would love to hear how this developes into something more.
Good job.

Alyxandr responds:

Thank you very much!

Cool!
I dig the arrangement + main melody.
Drum (rhythm) diversity and instrument change keep me interested, and I see you've gotta note for that.
I didn't like the transition at 0:30. Lead and background is okay but transition was sudden.
(Unlike 1:12 which felt natural)
Maybe adding a cymbal or something that passes through would help, just to notify it's happening. :)
I'd suggest developing the melody too, I'm sure it would be more interesting.
Enjoyed the piece nevertheless, well done.
... and yeah, nice title for the song too!
Keep it up. :)

cathatmusic responds:

whoa... this is the first actual review I have ever received. Thank you so much! something about the transition at 0:30 sounded spooky to me, though opinions are appreciated!

Amazing man! :O
Nothing much to say, just love it!
Keep it up.

Possibly responds:

Thanks very much, really appreciate it as the first vote on this was a big fat 0 so I was a bit puzzled, so thanks for the review and the 5 vote which is helping this edge upwards slowly :)

Wow. Nice one!
Sounds choices are pretty good.
That snare you got's quite odd. Maybe a little bit to punchy for this kind of style.
And you need to compress everything for sure.
Anyways, love the tracks that are not repetitive and this piece is the perfect example.
Feel like if you spent few hours more on the track, extended it and polished it, it would be fully amazing.
Great job, keep it up.

algry responds:

Thanks for the tips, as I'm new to writing music i'm going to have to look up what compression is, and in all honesty I have almost no choice of drums, which i'm working on... I'll remember to spend the few extra hours to polish, too... as usually I just want a finished piece soon.

Thanks for the actual feedback! It was really helpful!
