Whoa!
Everything's quite nice, but I feel it lacks something.
I feel like intro needs more automation and some arp or more subtle effects before the main transition. It would be way more effective for sure. I'd also add some kind of impact when the beat starts.
Vocal parts are really nicely done and I really like the structure of the piece.
But somehow I want to feel that I'm drifting into another part of the song.
I suggest working on let's say 'catchy' transitions, add reverse sounds and more perc in general.
To sum it up, I feel there's a great song underneath all this but it lacks energy, melody and few other elements that could wrap it up as a whole and put more emphasis on each part.
On the other side mix is quite neat and nicely done.
Keep it up! ^_-

thanks for your thoughts and tips on this, I definitely still have stuff to work on :)

I'd say Renowned and Underwater.
I don't know how much you're done with these songs so I'll write a few stuff here:
I'd certainly add more FX.
+ Some subtle layers in melody. I feel like you need those. So it could feel more 'natural' even with this kind of genre.
You can also experiment with hi hats . They're pretty much the same.
Make them more playful (not all the time but at some points).
The same goes for transitions.
I'm sure this would add to overall energy of your tracks since you already have Waterflame-ish vibe.
Keep it up!
:]

Preds responds:

Alright thanks!

I'll work on that man!

Absolutely charming.
Instrumentation is spot on.
Love it.
:)

Good beat overall.
Feel like the mix is quite good.

BUT -
Needs more high end on kick.
1:20 synth feels little bit generic, I'd suggest more layers as it progresses on and on and I feel like it needs more automation (reverb/delay ... whatever ;D)
Yeah, as the guy below said, the drop was kinda weird.
It feels it's much weaker than the part before or after it.
3:02 part is a really nice touch, my favorite.
Love that piano and progression. :O
4:30 part that switches main synth and piano [in octaves] is great.

To sum up, you should get to the point where the melodies feel more 'natural' even in this kind of genre.
And by that i mean: finding better sounds; getting better in sound design overall etc.
You've got a bunch of great ideas.

Just keep doin' it - that's most important. :)

I guess your best mix to date?
It does feel like it took weeks to finish. :]
The only thing I didn't like was that 2:00 onwards section. (that intro synth felt kinda weird)
Some parts are really quite cool, but I guess it's just my personal taste towards dubstepish sounds.
Anyways.
Well done! :]

Preds responds:

Thank you!! The weeks seemed like years, it was horrible :(

I didn’t liked that part either, I may change it soon thanks

Yeah, the mix in here is my fav to date.

Wow!
Totally didn't expect dem drumz.
Love the theme.
Magic!
I really love your work in general. <3

Everratic responds:

Thank you :D

This was pure joy to listen to.
Although I think that that sequenced arp around 1:00 could've been less loud / better eq-d / compressed.
Nevertheless. Great! :)

Preds responds:

Thanks man!

I’ll work on that :D

Nice one!
Has Crash Bandicoot vibe, and I like it. :D
Panning was maybe a little too much.
It would be great if there were few shouts. (2 or 3 max)
Not when they repeat for that long.
Transitions are great and I especially loved the part 1:00 - 1:07.
It would also be good if the bass had it's own line. (not being just a layer of the melody)
Arrangement is also nice.
You got quite good ideas.
All the 'problems' that I see - point to the mix.
I suggest compressing the song, though.
That way you could wrap it up as a whole.
Great work overall. :)

Hexsixth responds:

Thanks for taking the time to comment!
The Crash Bandicoot vibe is odd considering I've never played it or heard any music from it, but I guess with the jungle theme as a whole, it was kinda inevitable, and I'll gladly accept that, lol.
I'm glad you liked the part from 1:00-1:07 since that was something I was having second thoughts about originally.
Mixing-wise, yeah, I agree, it's something I've been working to improve, but I think some of the problem comes down to my headphones, since if I play the song through my speakers or another pair of headphones, it sounds worse, so I'll see what I can do about that.

Insane.
Straight to my favorites. <3

DanJohansen responds:

Excellent! Happy to hear it :D Have a great day man \m/

Really nice.
Sounds are great and its neat and funky.
I feel like there are too many 'intros' to some parts and breaks for now.
I would want the song to build-up and gets pumped-up even for quite a bit. There's time for breaks for sure.
I feel like its teasing me all the time. If you know what I mean.
Besides that, I really dig the style and sound.
I guess that you know your way around this. :]

Preds responds:

Thanks man!

I’ll work on everything you said, thanks for the review :D
